    Hi Devon,
Sorry you got scammed. I think you should let everyone know who these scammers are. Pay back is a bitter pill to swallow and this person would rue the day he messed with Devon Brown! Most people just sit and take that B S. those liars depend on it. Let us know what you do about this please.
    Thank you
    Linda

    Hey Devon,

I’m truly sorry you got scammed. I would start to feel the same way except I would stop
and think of the consequences, that will happen if you ninja chop ’em in the face! I don’t
think you would like being sued over that?

Again I’m sorry to hear that. I too have been scammed before, that is why I’m REALLY
hesitant about things like that. Not only on the internet but through the mail as well.

    Take Care!
    Kristine

  3. Dang man,

I just saw the amount (on Facebook) and I think I would be more than pissed about it.

Great sportmanship though that you’re looking at the bright side of the situation.

I have seen a few IMers that keep track of solo ads that worked and the ones that didn’t. I’m not sure if they ever ask for refunds or just call them out as scammers but I do know at least one person that DOES marks scammers as red flags and he also openly shares that with his list.

I guess that by sharing solo ads that work and the ones that don’t and openly publishing that list, makes a scammer think twice about attempting to go for your money.

Bummer that I tried to look it up for you to give an example but I can’t find it.

Anyway, hope you can sort this out and I bet it was a lesson well learnt.

    Hi Devon,
    sorry to hear about that,
there are too many scammers out there, they even call you on your home phone telling you that your computer has a virus etc.
it’s become a world where we have to always be careful because scammeres are always looking for the next victim.
mentally it’s good that you made this video to let off steam.
the best is to look at it as a learning experience and find a solution to help your fellow marketers and listeners.

    best regards.

  5. dear devon: i know it burns to get burned by those who care more about the money than the people they are dealing with. i personally have been taken for several thousand dollars by many people who are supposed to be trustworthy. one of my smaller hits came from you as i signed up several times for the 5.00 program but never actually received anything. i do believe that this is something that you did not do on purpose. i find it much easier to forgive those who have wronged me than to cause myself more emotional pain by holding on to the problem. i could publish a list of every person who has cheated me but what would i truly accomplish? i refuse to hold hatred in my heart because by doing so i am the only one who is hurt by my actions. remember the individual who openly robs or steals from you will never think of the pain he or she causes you. release the pain, let it go and by doing so you will grow personally maturing by your willingness to forgive. let the love of our FATHER GOD AND OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST TAKE IT’S PLACE IN YOUR HEART
AND PROVIDE YOU WITH YOUR VICTORY IN ALL THINGS, AMEN.

  6. Greetings from a new list member from India. Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience and financial loss. On the other hand, I got to learn something new today – The AQ thing. It is this “adversary quotient” that teaches us an important trick – Don’t get angry; get even. Thanks again to this AQ that you directed your energy to producing an informative video instead of wasting it away fretting and fuming over your loss. I guess your martial arts background too might have helped you to a great extent – in the sense of maintaining calmness and composure even in the worst of unexpected situations. Overall, this was a truly inspiring lesson on how to counter and keep our emotions in check and/or direct them to something positive.

  7. Hey Devon, sorry to hear it and thanks for being open with us here. You know it’s hard to know who is real anymore. So many promises and less valued results online. I hope you do retrieve your money back and put that site on the rip off site list, so when others check it out it appears on their. Thanks, Lani

Hi Devon, was it that webinar/seminar that was on last night about some little fat guy who discovered another way to get traffic, cause I bought into that myself. If you got scamed then I guess I did too

    • 6:55 pm on June 4, 2012

Hi Rick… It wasn’t the little fat guy but that is rather humorous! 2 people do DEFINITELY Avoid when buying solos are
      Gary Baker and Stefano Manzotti

Baker – holds on to people’s money an doesn’t deliver the clicks until you file for a refund (he’s done this with me personally and 2 of my clients)

Stefano Manzotti – delivers fake clicks so that it LOOKS like you’re getting traffic but you’re really not

      Just keeping it real!

  9. Sorry you got scam Devon. I am greatfull to you that you made this video, so that we who are on your list, can be more careful and if this should happen to us, what kind of mind set should we adapt.

    Kind regards,
    Orlando

  10. 7:11 pm on June 4, 2012

Hi Devon. Stefano got to me too. I want to get a refund but I hear that people are having a
hard time with that one. Since I’m new at this I probably would not have detected it. Thanks
to all the good people who are sending out the warning. I almost ordered from Gary too.

I am truly sorry about you loss.

  11. Don’t worry Devon…

You’ll make back 10 times that amount, due to the fact that you lead an honest life and you truly enjoy helping other people to help themselves:-)

Whew!! hey Devon thanks for giving me a shout back. the live web/seminar I watched last night was really impressive and it was about trafficking also but seemed to be on the up and up, if you haven’t seen the video yet, I sent it to you via tweet, give it a look. I look forward to our next conversation

  13. I’m also a member of the Safeswaps and I read your thread.

Fact is, he got me too (however it was only $50 or something like that) but guess what? We get the last laugh.

Right now, word getting out that Stefano Manzotti is a scammer, everybody over at Safeswaps are now putting in Paypal disputes and not only will he have to give a lot of that money back but Paypal will most likely shutdown his Paypal account.

It’s extremely short-sighted and his name – Stefano Manzotti – is considered dirt while the people who do it right will be profiting for years to come.

  14. Hello Devon,

Thanks for sharing , especially about ‘ Adversary Quotient”. Because there are dishonest people, we get to test our AQ.

I find that ‘ranting’ on my negative feelings about a ‘ screwjob’ I just received helps me get back to a positive attitude faster.

On to your next ‘million’ that the crook will never achieve

    Nooooo Problem,

If you used paypal they will get it back.
Your Bank can get it back also.

Then we get the Hammer and Nails…lol

  16. Devon,

Yup, I got scammed too… about a year ago for $800 that I wasn’t in a position to loose. Of course, I was REALLY pissed and wanted to hurt the guy. But, what good would that do anyway?

Instead, I decided to make lemonade out of lemons and wrote a kindle book about it… and put up a site http://howtoavoidascam.com/. If it helps someone down the road, I’ll be happy.

    Sorry it happened to you.

Hey Devon, This is what I resprect most about you, you are not afraid to say this even happens to you. I think getting past this is hard to do, but we just keep moving on. It tell them that you will not hold me back . good blog thanks, I needed that.

  18. Hi Devon,

That was great… I’ve been scammed too, and I have a theory about this – “Burn me once, that’s your fault – Burn me twice, that’s my fault.”

There are a few people I’d like you to meet, and you can chop them in the throat for me 🙂

Most of the times I was scammed were offline, by people I knew and trusted, to the tune of over $100,000… I let it go, knowing that it would only cost more to take action, and the money was already gone – so I’d get further ahead by just getting over it as quickly as possible and get going again.

Thanks for the video. I try to watch as many as I can because you are always entertaining and your videos always contain a valuable lesson. I also forward the links to people who might not be on your list.

Adversity Quotient! That a great video bro! I learned a lot here! You taught me lots of things I can use on a daily basis. You are being authentic and I appreciate you sharing this information with us. I’ll take some time to go through the videos and see what I can learn.

Thanks again Devon, I really mean it!
