Hey Everyone 🙂

Wanted to thank you for all of the feedback to my video/blog post from yesterday.

The response was so great that I felt inclined to make this follow-up message.

NOTE: If you missed “Part 1”, then CLICK HERE to check it out and be sure to note all for the GREAT comments that were left!

You can watch the “Part 2” Video response Here:

As opposed to just talking a good game, I’ve decided to “put my money where my mouth is” and SHOW you guys EXACTLY what I was talking about with regard to putting on your blinders and achieving your goal.

Below you’ll see ACTUAL SCREENSHOTS (with Time/Date stamps next to them) showing how much I was able to grow the personal lists of 6 clients of mine just using the information & tools from the WebCopyCat members area.

I was able to accomplish this in just 10 days of work. In that same 10 days the “average” frustrated internet marketer has been involved in at least 3 different programs, has made $0, and has grown their list by exactly 0 people.

I don’t say this to impress you…I say this to impress upon you the simple fact that your success/failure has NOTHING to do with how many e-mails you get from me or ANY other guru.

The actions I took over the course of 10 days was EXACTLY the same Action that you COULD’VE TAKEN! It’s the EXACT same stuff that I lay out in the WebCopyCat Members Area. And it’s the exact same stuff I’ve been telling you to do for years.

You have a choice. You can FULLY DIGEST THE THING YOU ALREADY PAID FOR AND IGNORE ALL OTHER DISTRACTIONS UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR GOAL! Or, you can keep on jumping from program to program and find ways to “blame” the people emailing you for your successes/failures.

I hope you choose the former…

To YOUR Success,

  6. Hi Devon & Sara,

In this excellent video, you really laid out a road map to success. I sincerely hope that people who view this video “get it.”

You have taught me to focus on one thing at a time until I get it to work – and only then scale it up or look at some other product.

    Many thanks.

Love your videos Devon and always laugh as I glean great info. I think too many of us think we will miss something important if we don’t open emails from a guru we like but you are dead on right that we need to focus. Haven’t met a guru yet that if I contact them they won’t sell me their product at a later date.

    Happy New Year!

P.S. Think it was smart of you to take a nasty email and use it to teach us something for our own good. Thank you.

  9. HAHAHA… nice advice devon….

here’s tip for you getting Lolo Jones, send her a BIG ASS Valentine’s Card, with 35 dozon roses, and 50 pound of candy….. women love candy nad roses.

For a simple that i seen on MTV, a kid posted a video to a L.A. Skate Borad Star,
after posting for a year and half, the star calls him up and fly him out to his place
    for a dance video.

    Hi Devon,
I don’t know if this has been mentioned but As far as i know.
Every operating systems has a check for new messages every so many minutes from 1 to 480 minutes. (some may have more or less) or just shut down the email altogether you know. (the red X) Mark at the top right corner of the page. When you boot the computer the email does not startup by itself in less you put it in the startup area of the startup program. When it boots up the operating system it would startup the email automatically but you still can shut it down. I hope this helps.

  11. Love all your caring info Devon. I love the plethora use too!

  12. Hi Devon, I must jump in and add my own comment! Look, THAT IS THE NAME OF THE GAME…Up-selling, cross-selling, etc., is what having a business on the INTERNET is all about. I totally agree with you on your responses to your reader, he needs to realize that you are simply DOING BUSINESS! I am still considered a “newbie” at this game but I am learning to diversify so that I actually earn a living. The concept of up-selling, etc., happens in the “real world” big time. As a consumer, we just have to decide what we “need” vs what we “want”. That’s it! He has to decide if he wants to earn an income on-line, and if the answer is YES, then take what you can use to move on with your goals and discard or ignore what you don’t need!!!

    Happy New Year Devon and,
remember that exercise is the best cure for stress
    thanks for the video.

  14. Some people “get it” while others are missing the points. If you go to McDonald’s (or nearly any restaurant, fast food or otherwise), do you get mad at the cashier or waiter for asking “would you like fries with that?” or “would you like to make that a combo?” Those are upsells that have been around long before Internet Marketing even existed. If you shop for a suit, and they offer to sell you a matching tie, shoes, socks, etc., that’s an upsell too.

The other point is FOCUS. I made this mistake early on, and it wasn’t until I FOCUSED that I became more successful and started actually making regular money online. Now I have a business that helps other businesses get more business. If an upsell or cross sell fits in to your strategy, and is timely (e.g. something you’ll use immediately or very soon), go for it! If it doesn’t, it’s going to do 1 of 2 things: distract you and take attention away from what you SHOULD be doing, or sit there on your hard drive, doing nothing.

Internet Marketing is actually such a broad area that there are so many things you could learn and try to do – but if you pick one area to specialize in, you’ll do far better than trying to be a jack of all trades and pursue everything. Devon is a perfect example of this – he doesn’t try to do all the technical stuff – he focuses on what he’s good at, and when something else is needed to make that happen, he hires an expert to do that for him. He plays to his strengths and doesn’t struggle trying to learn everything possible.

  15. Very motivating video Devon…

  16. 1:22 pm on December 29, 2011

Outstanding Devon… Very well said & illustrated. You should put it on a Power Point video and Blast it out as High quality & Extremely Useful Content for 95% of All online marketers who just don’t ‘Get It’…

Of course, you’d have to have a Disclaimer regarding the Fact that there ARE Crap products being sold out there (The REAL scams) & the Fact that people Actually HAVE to WORK… Take Action & see it through 100%.

Again… OUTSTANDING!!! (Like a refreshing Slap in the face, Light-bulb moment of clarity… lol)

  17. Hi Devon,

Excellent Video!!! You’ve spelled out how Internet marketing works and what it’s really all about in twenty odd minutes.

I would like to add my two cents worth though and that is to do with something you briefly touched on at the end of the video about “The greatest thing to ever hit the Internet” promos and to never, ever worry about “Missing the boat” that they tell you if you don’t order in the next five seconds.

Because you will always get the next message in a day or two for the latest “Greatest thing to ever hit the Internet” promo and the next another day or two after that (and on and on)

Sure some of these products are absolutely superb but although you can copyright a product, you cannot copyright a concept so another product that does basically the same task will only be a matter of days away.

Most of the offers you get will include a substantial launch discount which usually does go up considerably after a set time, but if you instead focus on the task(s) in hand for building your own income streams then you will likely make enough income from those to later pay the full price with cash to spare and once those income streams are built then that income will continue to flow.

Regarding the up-sell and cross sell tactics Devon mentioned, yes you will get those by the truck load, but I advise you never to complain about them as every once in a while a gem will come along that can take your business up a level, some of the best stuff I’ve ever bought came to my attention that way, so never be hesitant about also doing that yourself, sure you will get the odd person complain about it but they will be far outweighed by the ones genuinely thanking you for it.

One last note to you Devon, I was quite surprised that you mentioned some Web Copy Cat owners who hit a bump and give up, not a good outcome for them or you.

I’m pretty sure your tech team will be running the latest stuff so I expect your membership site for WCC will be WordPress based, might I suggest a plug-in called WP NotePad, what it does is allow your members to write private notes directly in their membership area viewable only by them and the site administrator(s),

So what you can do is set them tasks and ask them to tick a box when they complete each one together with any comments they want to enter on how they went about it, with that you can check on their progress and contact them if they seem to be having problems completing a task you’ve set for them, that way you can get passed the “Too embarrassed to ask for help” syndrome (so greatly reduce failure rates)

I bought this plug-in a little while ago and think it’s superb, I am an affiliate for it but won’t include my link here, just type into your web browser task bar and click “Go” (I think it’s still on a launch offer price too)

    Hope this helps

  20. 7:07 pm on December 30, 2011

Devon… as always, you nailed it bang on! Most of us that want to earn money on the internet have a tendency to chase the next new shinny object (me included). I’m a member of WCC, and I have to admit, that I’ve taken my focus off of it. Why?? Because I chase the latest and greatest shinny object! The new year is here, and it is time to stop wasting my money and time on the next money making thing out there. I’m going to committ to focusing on WCC and start making some real money on the internet. I know it is a great product, and I just need to honker down and do it! Thanks for such an eye-opening video!

  21. Hey Devon,

I can understand this guy’s frustration but the real thing is that we should also have some common sense AND use it as well.

I get around 200 emails a day (maybe a lot, maybe not that many, I don’t know) and I would hardly do any work done if I opened, click and read/watched every single e-mail that reaches my inbox.

The same goes for the marketing offers, there are times that I’m simply NOT in the buying mood and whenever I see a buy button I just close the site.

It’s all about laser focus, massive action and self discipline.
