Hey Everyone…

Side Note: Hopefully I’ll have the interview soon and I’ll be able to share it with you guys 🙂

Anyways…

I was being interviewed by a guy who is doing a series on list building and he asked me what my

Ok, so here are a few examples of the kind of Specificity I was talking about!

Ok, I think you get the Idea….

The point is to be as SPECIFIC as possible regarding the benefit that people are going to get when they invest their time in opting in to learn more about what you’re giving away or selling.  Or, Be specific in telling them the EXACT result, time needed, money  needed, or outcome.

Also, this idea of “Specificity” can be used to increase open rates when emailing your list and in other forms of marketing as well.

Example: Sending out an email with the subject line “How To Get 7,224 Visitors To Your Website In Less Than 3 Hours”, may get you a higher open rate then just using the subject line “How To Get More Traffic To Your Site”.

Hopefully you found today’s video informative/helpful 🙂

And hopefully you now understand how SPECIFICITY can help your conversion rates.

As Always…

  1. Hi Devon,

Excellent video as usual hitting the nail right on the head 🙂

Choosing a sub-niche to target (I think they call it a micro-niche) really is the way to go, plus it let’s you use and target those long-tail keywords everyone keeps saying provide better results,

And for those who think they will be leaving cash on the table by missing out on the obese people in the example, then that’s a second squeeze page leading to a second responder you set-up in your autoresponder account and the guy with the paunch is the third.

If your free report includes info specific to all three, then you just remove all the additional info for the other two in each opt-in gift and for your follow-up messages then you’re good to go, then you’ll end up with three separate lists with a far better chance at knowing what specific offers they are most likely to go for.

As usual, your video presented an idea that will lead to higher conversions. Specificity makes sense because we are then more likely to be addressing people with their credit out.

    Thank you

  3. Hi Devon,
Great advice, when it comes to increasing conversions being specific is the key to success ( go deeper not wider). I am just returning to the IM scene after recuperating from a serious illness called BSOA (Bright Shiny Object Addiction 🙂 ) It’s a well known illness in the IM scene, but the sad fact is not many even realize they have it until its to late and they end up like I did exhausted,in debt and with a feeling of failure. But I am now back refreshed, completely focused and this time with a clear plan of what I want to acheive

Increasing conversions is one of the things we all have to master, if we want to be truly successful with our online business.

1 Other tip I have picked up for increasing conversions is as follows:

Ensure all of your key information, Headline, Benefits & Opt in box, is above the fold ( in case there is anyone reading this that doesn’t know what I mean by this, it’s the part of the page your visitors see before they have to scroll)

Anyway, keep up the good work
    Regards
    Julian
