Why I’m Different Than You (And It’s NOT Just Because I’m A 30-Something Year Old Black Guy :-)

Hey Everyone!

I’m just packing up my clothes in preparation for my trip to the Tony Robbins event in Orlando this weekend, and I wanted to make sure that I got this message to you before I left.

I was actually on the phone with someone on my list the other day, and he said something that made a light-bulb go off above my head.

I realize that this ONE DIFFERENCE between us was in large part responsible for the differences in our bank accounts!

Watch today’s video to see the difference between me and the gentleman I was
talking to; and see if you and I are different in that way as well!

Hopefully you found today’s video informative/helpful 🙂

And hopefully you now understand the importance of the ratio between the number of things you BUY, and the number of things you SELL!

As Always…

  1. WHAAATTTTTT?????? You’re a 30 something year old black man???? Now that’s breaking news. I’ve met you several times and never noticed. 😉

Seriously though. if you take away all the WordPress Plugins that I buy, then I do sell more than I buy. If you count those WP Plugins, then the ratio is a lot lower. But, like you said, those WP Plugins that I buy have developer rights so that I can use them to do more for my clients.

You are exactly correct though. If you buy something, buy it because:

    1) It makes your job faster, easier, or better
    2) It makes my work more professional
    3) It provides my clients an edge with functionality
    4) It provides a better user experience for the website visitors
    5) It does the job better than what I already have
    6) I see that I could potentially use it to get a new client because I have that functionality available

If I can make money with it, I promise you I will buy it. I buy very few information products though because when I started I bought lots. Most of them are collecting digital dust on my virtual bookshelves. I’ve bought a few recently and they were information products that were instantly actionable and helped me do things like complete my LinkedIn profile while going through the video training. When the training was over, my profile was complete.

Thanks Devon, for an eye-opening video. But seriously, “You’re a black man?”

  2. Am always jacking Your S**T Devon, awesome message as usual man

Devon, I wish I would have seen your video about 1 hour ago. I just another bought another WSO this morning which I am sure is a great value, but not sure how soon I can use it. I seem to have “shiny object syndrome” and I am guilty of buying more than I sell. I also had no idea who Lolo Jones is,so I looked her up. Damn! Thanks for the video. Once again you are right on the money. I am more determined to focus on selling more than I buy. Have a great trip! Bob

  4. Good vid Devon. Simple but straight to the point. Thanks

Thanks a lot for the video!
You gave me a lot to think of and implement!:-)

  6. I knew from the very beginning where you were going. The sellers of the products always make more money from the consumers of the product.

You always look exactly the same in every video. Same dirty white T-shirt and same backwards NFL cap.

  9. Devon:

Since you have finally convinced me to focus on one program until it is a ragging success,

I do not buy the next ‘magic button’

Green is the only color that 100% of we internet marketers see & love.

    Again, another great video

    thank you

    Carl Stifter

  11. What’s up Devon,

  12. Thank you Devon. Videos like this remind me how important it is to have a mentor who’s been there before you…

  13. Selling what you buy is good..
