Hey Guys & Gals,

Got a GREAT question from a gentleman named “Stijn” the other day…so I decided to make a another short blog video to answer it!

SPECIAL REQUEST: After you’ve heard my answer, please leave your 3 answers to the question in the comments section below!

Here’s the question Stijn Asks:

“Devon, What are the 3 books that influenced you and your Home Business the most.
I am asking for your business book recommendations.”

Here’s my answer…

So, hopefully you found that helpful and you run out to read any of those books you haven’t
read yet.

Now it’s your turn 🙂

Leave a comment below and let us know what your favorite “success books” are!

No doubt many of you will say “Think & Grow Rich“… a GREAT BOOK INDEED!! But I would still have to put Psycho-Cybernetics above it – just my opinion ;-P

To YOUR Success,
Devon Brown

    Dear Devon,

I have only been marketing on-line for 13 weeks not the best person to advise anyone. However,I
have viewed many e-mails on blogging, matrix systems, traffic and profit making money machines . I am overwhelmed by the vast information at close hand. I am still trying to find my niche, perhaps in 3 months time I may be able to answer your request.

    Many thanks

those are my top three reads and act upon the directions given. devon what if you have a 1 million dollar car are you going to take it to the corner mechanic who works on ordinary cars all day long, or to the factory trained genius who works only on that breed of cat (so to speak.)
every day of his life. jesus is the word in action and therefore was the individual and continues to be the individual that creates all things everywhere. OUR HEAVENLY FATHER SPEAKS US INTO BEING, JESUS OUR OLDEST BROTHER GOES TO WORK AND COMPLETES THE ACTIONS THAT BRING THE SPOKEN WORD INTO REALITY AND WE ARE CREATED EXACTLY AS WAS SPOKEN BY OUR HEAVNLY FATHER.
I HAVE ONE OTHER READ THAT LOOKED AT RECENTLY. it is written by fellow canadian robert g. allen who now has moved south of the border following the heat we all crave.

Hey what’s up Devon?? My number one is definitely Think and Grow Rich but since you already listed that one…I’ll give three more in no particular order. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki…How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie… and The Greatest Secret in The World by Og Mandino. There are many more that have helped changed my mindset but those are definitely the top 4. I will check out the ones you recommend. Never heard of Psycho-Cybernetics or The Go Giver but I’ll check em out. Thanks Devon…I appreciate you!!

  6. Devon you have got to read Robin Sharma’s “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari”, “Ziglar on Selling” and Michael LeBoeuf “How To Win Customers and Keep Them For Life” (and anything by Seth Godin) I will add “Go Giver” to my reading list.

  7. Devon,
To avoid repitition I have but one that hasn’t been mentioned already. It is called the “4 minuite manager” I don’t remember the authors name. It has been nearly 30 years since I read it so memory slips a little.

Hey Devon. I have read many books on self development over my career as a sales rep. The bible has many concepts of how to treat people, so it is my favorite. Next, Any of Zig Ziglar books. They are very motivational, and lastly I have 2 as a tie. Think and Rich by Napoleon Hill, and Robert Kywosaki(sp?) Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I have read many other sales book or motivational books, by Robert H. Schuller, Norman Vincent Peale, Billy Graham, Tony Robbins, Tom Hopkins, Brian Tracy just to give you a few.
    Have a great one. 🙂

  11. Hi Devon,

This is really an interesting topic – it is kinda hard to choose just 3 books!

    Here are mine:

    1. Words That Work by Frank Luntz
    2. Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples.
    3. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

The 4th one would be “How to get a date with Devon Brown” but it seems like it
    is still in production:)

    Kindest to you,
    Libby Kalis

  12. Devon,
It’s great to see that a lot of people recommend the bible first. that truely is number one book every one should read.
I would also recommend the following
“7 Habits of Highly Effective people” by Steven R Covey.
“Hungry for more of Jesus” by David Wilkerson
“Awaking the Giant within” by Anthony Robbins.

  13. Hi DEVON
reading any book that will help put your mind where it needs to be to make it in I M is a good book. The thing is we need a book that will teach us to use what we read. i think that there are many Good books out there, but if you don’t use what you get from you mite just as will not bother. Every day that go’s by and no success at what you are trying to do puts you back to wonder if the books are telling it like it is. It is hard to stay up when things keep putting you down.

First of all, thank you for answering the question Devon.

No need to worry about my name, as it is freaking hard to pronounce by English speaking people who never heard the i+j sound before..

To get to the question you asked.

N° 1: Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill
    N° 2: Psycho Cybernetics – Maxwell Maltz
N° 3: How to Win Friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie

Can’t think of a bonus book that’s really worth mentioning so I’ll have to leave it at that.

    1. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

    Hi Devon,

Great info as always. Love all your book suggestions and have read everything but Psycho-Cybernetics. Hope I can get it on my kindle.

I read at least 10 minutes or a chapter a night in some personal development book plus daily bible reading and here are a couple I have read recently and found to be very helpful.

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson
The Millionaire Messenger by Brendon Burchard

    Seize the day,

    1. “The Magic Of Thinking Big”
    2. “How to Have Power And Confidence In Dealing With People”
    3. “How I Raised Myself From Failure To Success IN selling”

Three books I didn’t see mentioned in the comments yet but have significantly influenced my thinking in a positive way.

    Stay Positive!
