What Do You Suck At?

Hey Everyone,

Today I want you to make a list of all of the things in your business that you suck at in business!

I want you to get crystal clear about what you absolutely stink at doing… because those are the things that you MUST outsource if you’re ever going to move forward in your business.

After I recorded the video I immediately remembered 2 other things that I absolutely
suck at!

1. Doing my books (Quick-books/Accounting etc…)
2. Staying on top of customer service

Even though I KNEW that doing both of these things were CRITICAL to growing my business…I knew that I didn’t want to (or wasn’t going to) do them!

So, the VERY 1st employee I hired was actually someone to handle both of these things for me. I put an ad in Craigslist for a part-time person at $10/hour to come in Monday, Wed, and Friday to handle customer support and do my books!

Outsourcing these 2 things helped me grow my business by an additional 30% that year!

All because I recognized what I sucked at! 🙂

Thank you for an excellent tip, Devon. I will definitely implement it, because i know I have a long list of things I suck at and they take so much of my time!

  2. Hey Devon!!!

OMG, the list got really big and ugly!!!

    Thanks for that:)
I do know that I suck at off line SEO. This is why I started outsorcing it paying people with YEARS of experience and with very expensive software that I am NOT interested in owning…

I do love writing like you…but i don’t have the time. I realized that the less time I spend in minute details, the clearer the vision for my business becomes…(hope that makes sense.)

    Have a great week end…:)

I suck in blogging, being Affiliate, making list of people, making a site to add affiliate that I am with to it. what I am good in not quitting understanding what to do how to blog and being Affiliate but still have a problem. would like to know what your think of my blog.

  4. Fortunately I’m blessed with a partner who actually enjoys the tasks that I either hate doing or find tedious and frustrating when I try. That works and has worked well for the last 5 years in our offline businesses, however, with online affiliate marketing which is a new venture there are some tasks that neither of us know much about. Achieving backlinks is one. The more I read the more confused I get with all those crazy schemes being promoted. Several super affiliates who I look up to have told me that creating unique and valuable content on our websites is the most important task and I’m happy with that since researching topics and writing is both my forte and a pleasure.

Hey Devon, great tip, but this also brings up a long list for me as well. Computer Tech. would be number one on the list, but keep these great tips coming as I do love them. However, I’m going to have to come and clean your mouth out with soap. Have a great weekend, Pam.

  6. Hi Devon,

Another great video with excellent info, outsourcing is definitely the key to becoming successful but not always possible for people starting out with very little capitol to invest in their business.

For those in that situation, the best way to go about this is to find several others just starting out who possess the skill-sets that you don’t and lack the skill-sets that you have, then you can propose a co-op where you all do the thing you’re best at for yourselves and each other.

That way, each one of you gets to do the thing(s) they really like doing all day long and everyone’s business reaps the benefit of each others labors without having to spend money to get all those other things implemented.

(Help out with keeping down you tax bill too :-))

I suck at everything because I am afraid of looking stupid!

I like being creative with writing but I am afraid of hard selling.
I have some leads that I need to answer but want to do a soft sell.
    To get better results.
Look forward to your videos and tips.

i would like to do artical writing. but don’t know where to start.

    HI DEVON
I SUCK AT MAKING MONEY ON LINE, simple as that. it seems that it is the hardest thing to do, but I also know that it can be done, thats the hard part. it is just a system needed to do it right
and then repeat (lol) at least i have been told that.
