Brian Says:

“Hi Devon, I have been trying for a year now and can not seem to build a list. How can I get a list quick? I’ve been scammed a few times and my money is running out fast. Please help, I don’t want a fortune, just a little to get by. Thanks Brian”

Maybe he meant “buying a list” as in sending out a solo ad? That can be very effective in list building if done correctly

  2. Thanks Devon…
Makes a lot of sense to me, my man…

Brian, pay attention to what this man is saying… he has literally taken me by the hand and helped grow my biz…

    Best of luck to you,

    Hi Devon:

Great video as always. I have an interest in what you are teaching in this video. I can relate to and understand why it’s confusing for people to try and decide what to offer of value to entice someone to add their email address and name. You have to offer something relevant to your niche and it has to be something of interest or value to a subscriber. Otherwise, they will just look at your site, i.e. read your articles and then move on. So, I believe the key is to offer something great and of value and interest to a new subscriber.

Hey, Devon, thanks again for a great and enlightening video.

  7. You really want to know what the “disconnect” is? I hope you do because nobody else has the balls to do anything but what they’re told or expected to do. They wait until nobody is looking!

What is the biggest difference between YOU and almost everyone on your list? Do you know? Can you guess what it might be? HELP. YOU have partners, employees or you outsource the work nobody likes doing.

I have Frank Kern on Video from 2002 teaching the same list building/auto responder lessons now – 10 years later – to the same people. When will you guys get it? People do NOT do what they don’t like when nobody is looking. People will NOT do anything they don’t want to unless they are FORCED into it.

Someone like you can make it fun by running your organization like a TRIBE because that’s what you’ve got. People think I’m crazy but they listen to you. That means it’s up to you to listen to me and everyone else because they depend on YOU to know what you’re talking about.

I know happiness attracts success and money is the result that follows. How many people are happy doing stuff they hate – like building lists and learning autoresponder codes? Nobody.

People cannot make money doing what they are NOT good enough at doing, even if they want to. 97% can’t and that’s CLUE #1 The problem is world wide and most people don’t even realize “happiness is good for business” because money is only attracted to happiness and success.

Now, what can you do? A L O T more than even you know!! Here are some squeeze pages: http://082011augprrgold.s3.amazonaws.com/SuperSqueezePageV2.zip

Have FUN, Get Happy and then money follows [not the other way around] because THE RESULT IS ALWAYS LAST. More confusion comes into play when money becomes a reason instead of a result – that won’t work either.

  8. Hi Devon,

Excellent video, I hope Brian and everyone else in the same situation who watched it now know that building “their own” list is crucial to their success.

You mentioned a few times that you cannot “Buy” a list, some might be asking “well why not”

The answer to that is, the list brokers sell xxxx number of opt-ins that are sometimes double opt-in but not always and those people have signed up to “their” list, then they sell on those subscribers to someone else and by doing that, the person who purchased those names can be seen by those list subscribers as an interloper.

So the list subscribers firstly feel as though they have been duped by the person they signed up with and then that the person they are now receiving messages from is part of that deception, so you will have to work ten times harder to gain their trust, this is of course if they haven’t already clicked on the UN-subscribe link which most will have done instantly.

Then comes the spam complaints, you are as good as guaranteed to get those with a bought list due to that initial perception and you definitely don’t want to get labeled as a spammer because those people are the scum or the earth.

That’s the reason why most all e-mail management services don’t allow you to import a subscriber database because as they are the ones delivering your messages, their good name will get tarnished in the process.

So although buying an opt-in list looks to be an excellent shortcut in getting started, unfortunately in actuality it’s poison to your business.

    Hope this helps

    David.
